Overview: About our Company
We know usability testing is a pain.   It’s expensive and time-consuming.
As a result, it doesn’t happen enough.
That’s why we built
UserTesting.com — we wanted to bridge
the gap between no user testing and expensive user testing.
UserTesting.com
lets you "look over the shoulder" of people in your target audience while they use
your website. And we make it fast, easy, and inexpensive, so you’re more likely
to do it.
We’re a
Mountain View-based company committed to helping website managers, developers,
and designers — anyone who feels responsible for a website — improve their sites. Our
customers depend on us to provide low-priced usability testing
and exceptional customer support. We do our best to meet and exceed their high standards.
UserTesting.com
is under very active development, and we roll out updates about every week. New
features are driven by you, so please let us know what you
want. If you have any questions, please call us at 800-903-9493.
The founders — and why they created
UserTesting.com

|
Dave Garr has managed websites for companies such as Apple, HP, Palm, and
Intuit. And he won a Webby for his marriage
proposal. He’s always been rather obsessed with usability testing, but has
been frustrated with how much of a hassle it is. So he ended up doing a lot of quick
and dirty
usability testing with his neighbors, family, coworkers, friends, and (his
trademark) captive audiences at train stations.

Darrell Benatar, a serial entrepreneur, founded Surprise.com in 1999 and
hired Dave. Darrell was not a believer in
usability testing until he saw Dave doing it. He was shocked at the problems
people were having with things that he’d always assumed worked fine. So he began
doing user testing for all Surprise.com redesigns. Since then, Surprise.com was
selected by Time magazine as one of the “50 Best Websites.” Seeing its effectiveness
on his site, he’s decided to make it easy for other website owners to do user testing.
