You may have heard rumblings about “GDPR” with increasing regularity the last few months. GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation and was passed in the European Union to increase protection of personal information for all EU residents. When passed in 2016, the regulation gave all companies, regardless of where they are headquartered, two years to ensure compliance. GDPR goes into effect May 25, 2018. Here at UserTesting, we believe that open communication and honest feedback between companies and the consumers that they serve is critical to innovation and the creation of new and brilliant products and experiences. However, we are equally dedicated to the preservation of privacy and protection of data of all with whom we do business. Members of the UserTesting IT, product and legal teams have been working hard to ensure UserTesting’s compliance with the GDPR by the effective date.
