Insights that speak your language: April 2022 product release

Every spring presents us with a reminder to refresh and renew. This doesn’t just apply to deep cleaning your home or organizing your office—it’s a chance to recommit your team to customer empathy and remind your organization of the value of real human perspective when creating and optimizing customer experiences.

In our latest market release, we’re excited to introduce new features that help you make the insights you uncover align with how your team communicates and optimize your team’s onboarding and engagement with the platform, as well as announce the exciting news that UserTesting is now HIPAA compliant.

Included in this April 2022 product release are the following features and updates:

  • Insight customization: customers can now give feedback on automatically-generated insights by adding their own custom terminology and providing feedback on the value of those insights 
  • Usage management for workspaces: manage platform usage across the organization for teams leveraging workspaces for different departments, user groups, or lines of business
  • UserTesting is HIPAA compliant: the UserTesting platform is now HIPAA compliant, enabling customers that are covered entities to gather feedback and insights, which includes managing protected health information, from the UserTesting Contributor Network or their own patients securely and confidently

Insights that speak your language

Every team and every organization has its own special language. With insight customization, teams can teach the UserTesting platform to learn their own nomenclature to surface automatically-generated moments of interest. By adding a team’s own verbiage and terms, as well as the importance of those terms, the platform will provide better and more targeted insights, customized for every team.

In addition to key phrases and terms, customers can also add context to specific insights before sharing, so each insight becomes instantly relevant and more powerful.

This level of customization not only helps easily surface insights that speak the language of your team but also saves valuable time and effort when analyzing customer feedback.

Drive adoption and scale human insight across your organization

Just as every team has its own language, all teams may have different needs when it comes to testing capacity. Those building new products or campaigns may need to test early and often to validate concepts, early designs, and iterate on live experiences, where other teams may need less frequent access to human insight.

With UserTesting’s new usage management for workspaces, organizations of all structures and sizes can best manage their testing capacity to fit their needs. Now, teams that are leveraging workspaces within the UserTesting platform to distinguish testing across different lines of business, user groups, departments and more, can better plan and share testing capabilities across the organization. By allowing teams to divvy out session units for these different workspaces, UserTesting provides customers with a more efficient way to ensure everyone has access to human insight for their work.

Gather patient feedback confidently with UserTesting's HIPAA compliance

UserTesting is excited to announce our product is now officially HIPAA compliant. By following the rules and regulations associated with HIPAA, customers who are covered entities can now gather feedback and insights from their own patients as well as contributors on our platform that includes managing protected health information (PHI). Customers can gather breakthrough perspectives on health-related information and experiences securely and confidently.
