USERTESTING READIES FOR AGGRESSIVE GROWTH WITH ADDITION OF SVP OF PRODUCT AND ENGINEERING
Former VP of Engineering at Walmart.com & CTO of Flywheel Mark Towfiq Joins UserTesting Executive Team
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., March 18, 2015 – On the heels of securing a $45.5 Million funding round, UserTesting, the world’s largest user experience platform, today announced the addition of Mark Towfiq as Senior Vice President of Product and Engineering. A proven product development leader for e-commerce giants, such as Walmart.com, and leading mobile startups, such as Flywheel, Mark’s expertise well positions UserTesting to continue to revolutionize user experience testing.
As SVP of Product and Engineering at UserTesting, Mark will lead a team of more than 20 members and nearly double this team in 2015. Given the great demand for in-the-wild testing, Mark will pioneer new services at UserTesting that enable and support user experience testing anytime, anywhere. Most recently, Mark was the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Flywheel and prior to that CTO at FanSnap, where his teams created mobile and web products with integrated payment and location-based services. Prior to these startups, Mark held positions as Vice President of Engineering at both Walmart.com and Nextag (Wize Commerce), where he built teams of up to 100 people and managed e-commerce platforms that scale to handle millions of visitors and transactions.
