How does the UserTesting Contributor Network get contributors?
Our Contributor Network is constantly growing either organically or through campaigns across multiple channels. It is composed of a diverse range of people from multiple countries with varying ages, ethnicities, backgrounds, industries, and incomes. Applicants submit and verify their email address and paypal accounts, complete their profile, and submit a practice test to apply.
While the application process may be simple, multiple manual and automated checkpoints ensure contributors are ready to provide high quality feedback once they join the network.. All contributors must pass a practice test, demonstrating their ability to articulate their thoughts while their computers or phones are checked to ensure feedback can be captured correctly. We also review the first test every contributor takes and provide feedback about any areas of improvement to ensure contributors are set up for success, and deliver high-quality feedback.
How Tesco Bank leverages the UserTesting Contributor Network for feedback
When Tesco Bank wanted to test their letters for customers with debt, they wanted to ensure customers could easily understand them. As the letters contain complex financial explanations, Tesco needed to validate that the messaging would lead customers in the right direction. That’s why they spoke directly to contributors and collected their feedback through multiple email iterations to write easy to understand messaging.
