UserTesting introduces Auros, its new parent company built to serve the evolving needs of UX teams, AI builders, and enterprises in the AI era.

For twenty years, UserTesting has been in one business: finding real people who want to help make experiences better and enabling you to collect and make sense of their perspectives. That has been the backbone of the experience research that has made the apps, systems, and websites that millions of people use every day better. It also turns out to be exactly what the industry needs right now, as businesses race to embrace artificial intelligence.

When I look at the AI side of our work, which has been growing quietly inside this company for a while now, I see a lot to be optimistic about, at a time when a lot of the public conversation about AI leans toward fear. I see responsible AI labs and enterprises leveraging human judgment to ensure their products are safe, reliable, and trustworthy. I see our human network, which has grown in size and strength since the User Interviews acquisition, doing new kinds of work to train models, test agents, and satisfy regulatory requirements.

That is why we are announcing a new name to reflect the new, broader business we are building to serve you in the AI era: Auros.

Meet Auros

Human insight has always made better experiences possible. Now, it’s helping shape the future of AI. Discover how Auros brings together UserTesting, User Interviews, and new AI services to help organizations build technology people can trust.

Our new name reflects both the changing needs of the user experience community as well as the emerging needs of model and agent builders at labs and enterprises. Auros will serve both as our corporate brand, parent to UserTesting and User Interviews, as well as the brand under which we will offer new services beyond those traditionally used in user experience research. We made this change now because we have already become something different, and it was time to reflect that in the marketplace.

To be clear, changing our name doesn’t mean that we are shifting our engineering focus away from UserTesting and User Interviews. In fact, quite the opposite. We are investing heavily in those products and continue to accelerate our roadmap to deliver the innovation you need in order to adapt to the changing development lifecycle. Practically speaking, nothing about how you work with us today is different from how you worked with us yesterday–and tomorrow will be even better.

If you have questions about what this means for your account, your team, or your contract, reach out to us directly. We're glad to walk through it with you.

Thank you for trusting us with your work. That hasn't changed, and it isn't going to.
