Latest workplace awards show UserTesting has quickly become one of the most desirable companies to work for in the Bay Area
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif – February 3, 2021 – UserTesting, a leading provider of on-demand human insight, today announced it has been listed as a best place to work by Fortune Magazine, and Built In–a community for San Francisco startups and tech companies. This is the third consecutive year UserTesting has been recognized as a Fortune Best Workplace in the Bay Area, but it is the inaugural entry on the Built In Best Places to Work in San Francisco list.

We pride ourselves on offering an inclusive, diverse, and equitable workplace–where our employees have the resources and support they need to develop their careers, and be successful now, and in the future,” said Carol MacKinlay, Chief People Officer at UserTesting. “We are honored to be recognized by both Fortune and Built In as a top Bay Area workplace, and will always strive to create a culture where the industry’s best and brightest want to be."

Methodologies
The Fortune rankings considered more than 44,000 employee surveys from companies across the Bay Area. Great Place to Work, a global people analytics and consulting firm working on behalf of Fortune, evaluated more than 60 elements of team members’ experience on the job. These included the extent to which employees trust leaders, the respect with which people are treated, the fairness of workplace decisions, and how much camaraderie there is among the team. Rankings are based on employees’ feedback, and reward companies who best include all employees, no matter who they are or what they do for the organization. UserTesting took the No. 14 spot on the list.
Built In determines winners for Best Places to Work based on an algorithm, using company data about compensation, benefits and cultural programs. To reflect the attributes candidates are searching for on Built In today, this year’s program weighted certain criteria more heavily, like remote opportunities, and programs for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
