This platform is very easy to use. It also has many different types of tests and questions.
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use and has lots of types of test and questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish they can enable me to conduct the focus group.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can set up the moderated and unmoderated tests with users on this platform. For the unmoderated test, the format is very smart and can lots of my time.

Constantly turn your work down
Constantly turn your work down, whilst giving you no constructive feedback.
"There was a problem with your audio"
Oh, well that's just great, was it too loud? too quiet? too scratchy? Was there feedback from my mic? I mean, could you at least be a little more specific instead of just hitting the "send him this response" button? I mean, it literally takes a few seconds to type what you believe is wrong, but the moderators are just lazy and turn your work down.

Have to Qualify First!
I have been with UserTesting for 3 weeks now and only have made 30.00 dollars with 10.00 pending. It is a first come first serve basis and well if you don't qualify your out of luck. There is no guarantee that you will make approximately 30 dollars an hour, not unless you live in a big city and do a bunch of stuff. This company does Payout and when I did my first review I got a 5-star review, did another review yesterday it got an immediate 2-star rating with no reason why and what was done wrong. I now don't get any offers for review and that is kinda poohed if you ask me. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Really REALLY bad site
Really REALLY bad site,
So I made a tryout video were I followed their instructions very carefully. The first one I made failed because I got an email back that said that I should retry so I did. I really tried my best with the second one, but in 5 MINUTES they just rejected it, I don't think they really look at your tryout video they just reject without any investigation

It is as simple as that
It is as simple as that - the time you will spend on initial profile set up, application installation, paid reviews (u will be lucky to get more then one for the first month), video uploads, permanent screening tests (which you won't get paid for) - will effectively make you work for pennies, so don't waste your time on it

NOT A SCAM, JUST FRUSTRATING.
I've been with User Testing for about a week. There are some goods and bad about joining the company. Now before I begin, I want you (the reader) to know that this is my personal opinion and experience with User Testing. Everyone will have a different experience and opinion..
When I first joined User Testing, I was really hyped because I was looking forward to make some extra cash working from home and for minimal effort. The company pays $10 per test which is about 10-20 minutes long averaging about $30 an hour. You get test or reviews about every few hours. in my experience. The things you'll need to be able to take the test or reviews is a smart phone or computer, both needing a microphone. Another thing is a quiet undisturbed area, as you'll need to speak your mind about the task given in the test or review.
When you've received a test, it'll let you know if you need a computer, windows or Mac, and a smart phone, any smart phone compatible. After clicking the test and accepting it you'll be given a task to do, speak clearly and do as the task ask. That's pretty much that is to it. Very Simple. The only thing I've ran across that may cause an obstacle for most are the screenings they give. These screenings is a quick 5 question, no right or wrong answer, survey to see if you qualify to take the reviews. I'm assuming they do these screenings to fit the right person for the reviews. It can be frustrating, as for me, I haven't qualified for any test or reviews and it's been a week.
Pros:
- You work on your own schedule.
- $10 per test that is 20 minutes long at the most, averaging about $30 an hour.
- Able to work anywhere if you're using the mobile app.
- Work from home for Computer test/reviews.
Cons:
- You get tests depending on your personal rating. For example, someone with a 5 Star rating will get more and seniority over you before you get a chance for the test or review.
- You work when they send you tests to take or review. (Leaving you to customize your own schedule)
- You're required to take a quick 5 question screening to see if you're the right person to take the review or test. If you don't meet the requirements you lose out on the test.
- If you're at work and check your app on your phone and it sends you a test for Windows or Mac, you have to wait till you get home to use your Computer for the test. If you wait to long the test is up for grabs by someone else.
- You're not guaranteed a test everyday (Atleast for me, I've waited a whole day for just one.)

It used to be decent
It used to be decent. I had plenty of tests coming my way as a tester for this site. My rating has always being Great. Since about 3 months ago. They stop sending tests. Now they only send me invites with surveys to see if I qualify for future tests that never come. Clearly they get all they info they need through the surveys and pay you nothing in return. Deleting my account.

Save yourself the headache, there are other options
If you need help while taking a test - you will waste time to be told to send an email. After a lot of time so I do not believe it's a robot. Oh the emails. You get an automated response with some FAQs - so they assume you are an idiot and wasted time emailing versus well reading the FAQs on their site first. You may, emphasis on may, get a subsequent response from maybe someone who at least sort of pretends to care.
If their own app leads you to the wrong site (most are beta so it's not like you can google them and it seems like the site they take you to should be correct right? Well maybe not but refer to my above review on how helpful help is). I think how they get money is because most people don't save the videos they upload - id recommend this. And with plenty of 30 minute + tests that may deny payment (which unless specified is $10 for 15-20 minutes) and that require at the very bare minimum 10 minutes to upload even when connected to very high speed interest and plus the initial screeners, yeah you're looking at maybe an hour and a dead mobile device because what on earth are they doing that it takes so long? So an hour for a payment that could be rejected. That's called fraud I believe. Using someone's app, opening the test site from that app, taking a test that in no conceivable ultra high speed internet world could ever take only 20 minutes. Oh and do not confirm they are NOT providing your data for use by the customer. Shady behavior. There are other similar sites out there that act differently so try these guys out but move away the first time something goes wrong

A genuine site that rewards you for reviewing new websites and apps
Very much USA-orientated, but this website isn't a con. You simply sign up and wait for new websites or apps to appear on your account dashboard. No obligation to accept them, and the money is transferred into your PayPal account exactly 7 days after completing a review.
The software is easy to install and use. In fact the website and user dashboard is clear and uncomplicated to navigate. Any issues, or any problems, and the customer service on their part is prompt and very friendly. It's good fun and interesting to take a critical look at new websites or apps in development.
Monetary rewards vary depending on the type of review: $3 for shorter tests, $10 for longer tests. Sometimes you may be eligible to earn even more for taking part in surveys or more time-consuming tests.
A gouple of slight drawbacks: the fact that there is no guarantee of websites to review, and you often have to take part in "screener tests" to ensure you are elegible to carry out a review. Although completely reasonable, it means the number of tests you find yourself taking part in is lower than you might expect. You must also be logged onto the website in order to receive and access the tests (they can email you these notifications, but I've found these messages to be unreliable).
Also, I find the US focus of the site makes it a little more awkward to use as a UK resident, wiith regards to time zones and currency. One final word of caution: they do have an app you can download to your phone in order to carry out mobile testing of apps. Their app isn't accessible on the Google Play Store, and it asks for a lot of your personal data. I would caution against using this app, and just stick to their website platform on your PC.
I would still recommend this site though, if only as a bit of fun to kill some time. Crucially, you are not left out of pocket as registering to take part in reviewing websites on Usertesting is free.
