What do you like best about the product?

Usertesting does a great job of quickly recruiting participants for your study, even participants that may normally be hard to find. Their interface is relatively easy to use, specifically the video playback and the transcription alongside it make synthesis of findings easier.

What do you dislike about the product?

Unmoderated tests can be tricky to get right. I use static Invision prototypes, our design team doesn't always have the ability to create a coded build. This is especially challenging for conducting unmoderated sessions. Usertesting doesn't make it easy to tie a question to a particular view or screen, it's up to the user to read the prompts and then click through the prototype. This means you have to be VERY careful of how you word questions and prompts, you run the risk of having the user click through all the screens at once but still be on the first question, or of the user getting completely stuck on the first screen.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

When creating an unmoderated test, make sure to pilot test it multiple times with colleagues before launching live. It's very frustrating to get bad or unusable results because of an error in your phrasing or prototype.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Usertesting as an option for quickly needed research insights and when conducting moderated interviews isn't feasible timewise. Usertesting helps give you a relatively good pool of participants in a short amount of time (i.e. about 12 participants took my study and it took 2 days). Its a good feeling to log in and see insights waiting to be discovered.

What do you like best about the product?

We use UT a ton for comparative testing between prototypes and then between competitors. The Product team is always very excited when I can get results back within hours. Beyond the product, the support team at UT are second-to-none. Ive only had to contact them a handful of times, but every time has resolved my frustrations.

What do you dislike about the product?

I do wish the product was cheaper. We're a small start-up and UT is getting to be expensive. There are times where the testers UT finds for us are clearly just trying to make a buck. Some tests we flag and UT is always helpful at finding replacements, but I feel UT could do a better job of filtering testers and finding testers who actually contribute useful data.

We're in the process of building a new and exciting tools, and UT is letting us dig deep into user expectations and helping us separate our biases from whats right.

I've used UserTesting to get feedback on our website design. The 5-second test was very useful.

I really like that I can highlight the most important part of a video, saving the clip. Moreover, I can put together all clips of the same task for different users. I like also like the use of the reels, for my presentation of the results they are very useful. Regarding the recordings: they are well made and with good quality, both for mobile and desktop. I like that I can have different dashboards for all my brand, so I can handle the projects easily. Another thing that is very good for me is the customer service. When I ask something, the answer is quick and very useful.

maybe is not intuitive at the beginning..so you need to take your time to understand how it is work, and could be useful have examples of different user test.

useful if you want to know what your consumer thinks and to do useful research on your site. ou can really improve the Cr and the revenue if you use it well

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I solved the problem related to the prescription on my site. But also was useful to understand the customer journey and which problem the users had on the payment page. Yes, it was very useful to understand some important problems. Another thing I discover is, for example, the different mental models that women and men have. In one user test Isaw that women prefer to see the PLP with only the frame, instead the men prefer to see the glasses worn by a model. Another important discovery is that the consumer didn't understand the copy f box annual supply in PDP. So with this insight, we were able to change it and improve CR. Also, we tested the sunglasses configurator and we saw a lot of problems for the users, that we solved. It's a very important tool for us, to do research, to improve our sites.

It is a little clunky, like if you host a diary study you have to send out links to each individual versus the platform sending them out. Its little things like that that limit its functionality

The tool approaches the matters via face-to-face feedback to remote methods. It's a full-comprehensive method to organize contributions coming from users on our e-commerce platform.

Data Protection seems managed under US Law (not still CCPA). I recommend a good level of attention in setting all the related features.
