I’ve been a UserTesting contributor for over three years now& it’s been an awesome journey! Great way to earn extra income alongside my ft job. When I first started, I largely took unmoderated tests coz they were quick/ easy. Over time, as I got the hang of things, I started doing live interviews—30, 60, even 90-minute sessions—which pay more and turned out to be pretty interesing. One of the things I really love about UserTesting is the kind of people I get to speak to during live interviews. I’ve had some really interesting conversations and always feel like my feedback is valued. Rewarding to know my input helps shape real products. All live interviews are video-based interviews while un-moderated sessions could either be audio-only or video. But the users have the ability to choose what they are comfortable with. A few tips if you’re thinking of joining: -Take your time with the practice test—it determines if you’ll get approved, so speak clearly & give precise answers. -Tests get taken fast, so having notifications on helps a lot. -Make sure your audio & screen recording work smoothly as good quality makes a huge difference. -Be honest and natural—companies want real opinions, not just what you think they want to hear. -Try live sessions when you’re comfortable—they pay more and can be really interesting. -Check out surveys—they’re a new feature and a great way to qualify for more tests. The app itself is super easy to use. I can see my pending payments, track my earnings n check my ratings all in one place. Plus, their support team is great—any time I’ve had a low rating issue or a tech problem, they were able to fix it fast. Overall, UserTesting has been a great way to make some extra cash in my free time. It’s flexible, straightforward & actually enjoyable. If you’re considering signing up, I’d say go for it!
