Been on user testing for a couple years and the site was great, generally fair, and almost always running smooth. Since the integration of userzoom and during the integration, about 6 to 8 weeks ago, the site has changed greatly. It is now riddled with technical glitches of the recorder, glitches in the tests, new surveys crashing the website, recorder glitching out your browser and restarting to a blank screen, and completed tests failing to load, etc. Things that either rarely or never happened in the two years prior. So, something is clearly wrong with the current software/recorder after the integration. Now the customers are getting poor end products and giving low reviews and user testing is failing to either fix or inform people (customers and testers) of these issues and just sending boilerplate email responses, like your mic didnt work. Even though 10 minutes before I was on a zoom call and everything was fine. Also, if you are unaware, you cant even get into a test without testing your mic and the software confirming it works, so riddle me that. After a couple months, they finally fixed an issue with inputting text in their survey boxes. It also seems there are new employees rating tests differently after the integration, making up testing requirements that are not in the survey instructions. Why? who knows, I would assume to make it look like they are working or to not get laid off. In general, just an overall frustrating integration experience and I would assume it has been for customers as well. All of this could be corrected If usertesting (or userzoom) was a little more transparent and admitted the issues with their software and stopped telling people to try reinstalling, when they have to be aware of the much larger issues lately. You can only reinstall so many times. I will admit, this is way out of character for usertesting and they are not a scam. I think it's a combination of new software integration and new employees with different rules and standards from userzoom. It's pretty clear the userzoom side is dragging user testing credibility down substantially. Four months ago I would have left a five-star review, now its a two. Transparency goes a long way.
