I required some basic assistance on how to change my username. Although its a bit of a let down not being able to do it myself, it was however very easy to request the change. The chat bot was quick to assist, there is no delay and it is very straight forward.

The fact that the site doesn't have unnecessary links and redirecting a user, makes the experience respectable.

it is a powerful tool for buisness looking to improve their products and services. It offers valuable insights from real users, helping you make informed decisions about design and functionality. basically it is very helpful.

Was gefällt dir am besten the product?
Was gefällt Ihnen nicht? the product?

There are a lot of things I could say…
There are a lot of things I could say about this testing site, and I've used it for close to a year. I've made over $1,000+ doing the various tests and interviews. Trying to keep a positive rating, which I think their system is massively flawed, esp. if you give candid answers to questions that their clients want, but apparently don't. When you get to say, 4 star rating, the amount of tests they give you pretty much go to a standstill, which leaves really no room for error, esp. if those said clients hate what you say about a product they represent, and the review team, apparently suck at catching the reasonings being such low ratings, most of the time. Yes, I've made a decent amount of money over the time I've been doing tests, but it seems that's coming to an end with the amount of testing I currently get, with little to no rating given to even try to raise it. I give 3-stars, because apparently that's what my value it to them. I'd give lower, but that seems in pour taste compared to how I've been treated. It's a decent side-gig I guess, but if you want it as your main job, I would recommend not to.
Update: my account was deactivated for an asinine reason, so going to revise my rating to 1-star for my continued experience. Little to null ratings on tests couldn't get my out of the hole I was apparently in with a Quality Review Team, or Clients, that seemingly either thought I didn't qualify for a test or "didn't give more detailed information". Be warned before trying this.

Waste of time for nothing
Don't bother, absolute waste of time. You'll spend god knows how long doing tests for them to say at the end "something has gone wrong" so it won't upload and you get nothing for it. Wasted 20 minutes of my time doing the "practice test" twice for them to email me saying I need to redo it for a third time!!!! That is a straight up no! Account closed and app deleted - I'll stick with Prolific thanks!

Okay Until You Need Help (They Would Rather Burn You)
I've completed around 110 tests and, for the most part, UserTesting serves as a reliable way to earn around $50 (sometimes more) per month.
I check for tests once per day and the typical $10 reward seems appropriate for the amount of time I invest into providing feedback.
I'm giving them a three-star review, though, because I think their customer service is subpar.
I recently completed a 34-minute test, during which I provided lots of data - via Qualtrics - to a UserTesting client.
My test failed to upload after the 34 minutes was up but the client still captured data with Qualtrics.
And I never had any indication anything was wrong, as the UserTesting timer continued to run.
I deserve to be compensated, so I emailed UserTesting's support team. A rep claimed the test failed to upload because I didn't - as they requested prior to the test - update my UserTesting browser extension.
This isn't true.
I attempted to update the browser extension, prior to this test, following UserTesting's instructions.
I never encountered the "Update" button their instructions claimed I would.
Thinking I might have missed a step, after the upload failure I went through the updating steps again and still didn't see it.
I went through the procedure several more times, just to be doubly and triply and quadruply sure.
But, despite sharing this with the support team, they maintained their stance I failed to do my due diligence in updating the extension.
(But never provided proof).
They then abruptly told me - and I'm paraphrasing - "Case closed" and closed the support ticket without bringing the issue to a soft landing.
This really rubbed me the wrong way because I've completed LOTS of UserTesting tests. I'm always professional and thoughtful and respectful of the value of the feedback to the clients and yet I was made to feel like a deviant who was trying to steal money.
What doesn't make any sense is this is the ONLY test which failed to upload in all of my time participating in UserTesting tests.
It leaves the feeling that an engineer made a mistake and is trying to cover their tracks.
I opened a case with the Better Business Bureau and their response was the same.
When I advised the response was not okay (because I PROVIDED THEIR CLIENT WITH DATA, VIA QUALTRICS AND DESERVED COMPENSATION FOR IT), UserTesting stopped responding and the BBB closed the case.
They no doubt spent a lot more money in human resources than the $10 I'm owed.
I don't understand how it's worth it to them to save the $10 to insult a loyal client (me) and risk negative feedback like this shared across the Internet.
So, in summary, when all is working well UserTesting is a nice way to make a few extra bucks without a huge investment of time.
But their customer service - staring with their philosophy of how to treat customers - needs an overhaul.
Expect that when you have an issue they'll treat you like an insurance company treats their customers.
UPDATE (08/09/24)
I found Support team leadership on LinkedIn and started working my way up the chain of command.
I first emailed a manager, who never responded.
I then emailed the VP of Support and - a few days later - received an email from another Support manager.
The manager stated I'd be paid the $10 as a "one-time courtesy" and that I shouldn't email people across the company when I have an issue.
(Ignoring the whole debacle that lead to this point).
I was paid, via PayPal.
But the lesson for you is that if you have an issue start emailing people up the chain of command.
UserTesting Support needs to learn how to treat their contributors better.

Completed Around $500 worths of tests in the last 12 months My experience :
Starting from the fact that the there is a complete lack of customer service - for instance , if you have an issue and raise it as a ticket the time frame to hear back from them are around weeks, and their decision is always final, not once they are able to have an open conversation as to why a test went a certain way or what not.
Sometimes test are deleted from the payout without a reason but you still spent time, but what really upset me recently was the following ;
I completed a test and was scheduled for a 60 min conversation which I attended.
After the 60 min conversation the interviewer was really happy and even promised me a 5 star review.
turns out they gave me a 1-star review saying that I had lied throughout,(without providing proof of said lies ) user-testing on this basis voided the payment, gave me a 1-star review, and blocked my account from receiving any more tests.
So effectively they took 1 hour plus for effective labor and voided the payment, this has been reported by multiple users unfortunately for them as I'm familiar with UK Laws regarding Labor and paid surveys I have reported them to the HMRC which has started an investigation, also will be requesting shortly for an erase of all my data via SARS, and if they don't comply with this I will also be reporting them to the ICO.
