What do you like best about the product?

UserTesting allows me to turn around quality research in an incredibly short turn around time. I can connect with Live Conversations in what feels like minutes, and collect extremely valuable footage of users on our site within a few hours.

What do you dislike about the product?

I wish I could add new participant groups after a study has been launched, but I am only able to add participants from the pools I created at the start of the study. Often times I do international research and wish to expand to a new country or new age demographic, but I'm not able to without duplicating the study and launching a second one.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

UserTesting lets me collect feedback on design concepts throughout the product cycle, but also put a qualitative spin on quant research. For the surveys I run, I also typically have UserTesting participants take the survey and explain the trade offs and decisions they are making as they answer.

Access to UserTesting's huge range of participants; ease of use; fast turnaround on results

What do you dislike about the product?

Options for customization could be better. Need to be able to better tailor screeners and question options.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Testing comprehension and findability of new features; validating hypotheses. Products are improved incrementally.

I love how quick it is to test things. It provides immediate feedback which is great to continue work and also for stakeholders making the decision to allow research

I generally don't dislike anything on the platform, sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming, but that's just a knowledge gap.

We are able to implement research into our process because of the speed of the turnaround

THere are not enough options - such as check boxes and ranking - a participant should be able to check more than one thing or organize items in a priority.

User testing makes testing available to all people, regardless of job role or industry.

Not being a researcher, I am still learning a lot about conducting studies. The screener setup is the hardest part about user testing for me. I almost want more help and guidance there.

Get creative and think out of the box.

We are solving basic customer issues with UserTesting. We are learning about pain points and potential problems from the ground up. I am able to find ways to test almost anything.

The consumer insights, mostly qualitative are amazing. Ease of use and speed of user responses as well as their quality

Can't yet substitute for hands-on. I just found out about UserTesting community - initial training was nice though

Prototype iteration, product packaging, concept testing, consumer research. Faster turnaround time and more confidence that what we are building will be useful.
