Intuitive, easy learn, easy to do analysis.

What do you like best about the product?

Intuitive, works well for my tasks and research questions.

What do you dislike about the product?

Not completely confident in the audience sometimes. They dont take their tasks very seriously all the time

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Feedback on early screens and short flows. Helping PM figure out what concepts and features they need to include in their specs

Super Easy and Fast to Use

What do you like best about the product?

UT makes research really fast and easy. I can save screener templates, which makes the set up take less than 5 minutes. I also appreciate that UT handles all the scheduling for me and I don't have to remember to hit record. It's genuinely so easy.

What do you dislike about the product?

I wish I could flag quotes as I am interviewing people so I can go back and have those moments saved to export into a highlight reel very easily. I also wish the transcripts were searchable within a project, across interviews so that I could find keywords more easily.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

reliably and quickly recruiting users scheduling interviews managing and analyzing clips saves me a lot of time and effort

UserTesting helps guide teams towards quicker insights!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope:

UserTesting is used across the user experience team at my company to answer the research questions that we have across our product teams that we support. We use it for a variety of research methods from unmoderated to moderated, generative to evaluative, and more. The problems that the platform helps us solve are the ability to test our assumptions and quickly gain feedback on design concepts that influences the product decisions that our teams makes.

Likelihood to Recommend:

UserTesting is a great way to quickly gain user or customer feedback in both generative and evaluative research studies. Want to better understand who your users are but don't have time to be on moderated interviews, UserTesting can help. Want to gain early feedback on design concepts, they can help you there too.

Good experience recruiting and recieving high quality feedback

What do you like best about the product?

- Quick recruitment time - Most participants are thorough in their explainations, and trained to articulate their thinking well - video editing experience is very useful

What do you dislike about the product?

- Occasionally participants do not read instructions, do not give enough feedback, do not explain their thinking - the experience of sharing usertesting with collaborators (stakeholders without a usertesting account) could be improved

Helping us to better understand how our users value our current product, how would feel about new features we are developing at the moment

The easiest and fastest way to run unmoderated tests

What do you like best about the product?

I've been using the tool for unmoderated usability tests, and I must say that the UI in terms of that is super easy. And it finds good participants super quickly!

What do you dislike about the product?

There are some small UX issues. For example, the new recordings are not sorted by date, and sharing a recording with someone who doesn't have an account with UserTesting is only possible if you open the video first. But those are really small, in general, the tool is great.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Running unmoderated tests to validate the prototypes of the new features before the dev team starts developing them. Also, usability evaluation of the existing product to make it better.

Good for gen pop surveys

What do you like best about the product?

I like that it's so easy to access gen pop panel if I need to do a quick survey on gen pop topics such as travel. Panel for gen pop I think is good in N.America and decent in Europe

What do you dislike about the product?

Professional respondents. Respondents who lie about their background and role just to get a survey

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

As mentioned, when I need quick surveys from gen pop on general topics

UserTesting For Quick Insights

What do you like best about the product?

If you want to get quick insights and be able to have product impact this is great! Participants are well vetted and you can get to them quickly and easily. You are able to get product insights and determine ways to make your product stronger.

What do you dislike about the product?

It is pretty pricey in general and the rate cards are hard to understand

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It helps us get to our customers quicker (helps with recruitment) and makes it easy to do unmoderated research

Good resource for those who wants to save time on UXR process

Use Cases and Deployment Scope:

We use it mostly to save time on Research Operations like unmoderated usability tests and consumer videos. We also use it for Usability metrics like SUS. I really like the capability of using their network recruitment base with the screener feature that saves me also time for quality feedbacks and video consumers.

Likelihood to Recommend:

It was a good resource to capture unboxing videos, ab tests, unmoderated usability studies and costumer videos to gain insights and feedbacks on our user experience research studies. It's really easy to share the insights and keep everything in one place. It's good for recruiting from a large-range sample on their own network base saving some time on research operational process.

Love this tool for quick and valuable feedback

What do you like best about the product?

Usertesting allows us to get feedback about our website from real people, very quickly. You can screen the users to ensure they meet your criteria. Generally we get results back within an hour, it has never taken more than a day. I like that you can take notes directly in the videos, so that you can easily find your spot later on. You can also create highlight reels and share them with your team members.

What do you dislike about the product?

It would be nice if I could do all my analysis and notes in user testing's site. Right now I am able to create notes on the video, and share clips, but I'd love to have a space to easily record and share higher level insights. No, you don't get the subtle observations that you would in an in person usability test, but this tool lets you get quick feedback to build up to an eventual in person test that may be more valuable than if you hadn't done any online tests first.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Take the time to speak with their support and customer representatives, they are very helpful.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

With this tool we are able to get quick, valuable feedback on our website. We use this to make decisions and changes to our site with the goal of giving users what they really want.
