What do you like best about the product?

The ability to set a specific audience, and since UserTesting has a wide range of testers, I am always able to find testers.

What do you dislike about the product?

It could take time to recruit users when you are aiming for a narrower audience, but that is natural.

Usability testing, user research, surveys

What do you like best about the product?

Usertesting allocates feedback tests to its testers according to their area of expertise and working domain. Both developers and contributors get mutually benefitted (developers get honest reviews from people who actually use the products or who are prospective consumers, while testers get paid well for their time and quality of review). I have been a contributor on usertesting platform for over an year and it has been a great experience the way along.

What do you dislike about the product?

The only thing I dislike or like being improved on the platform is quicker back-end team's support while tests are running. Right now, all a contributor can do is report any trouble and then wait for support to get back in a day or two. This comes at the cost of letting go of a test in the middle.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I recommend entirely usertesting to people who want to make better use of their free time to make some quick money and also to developers who want their prototypes to be genuinely reviewed and feedbacked.

Usertesting helps me utilize my free time in something constructive while making some quick bucks. It feels good to contribute for the betterment of a product or service which I might actually use.

UserTesting not only provides you with the tools to perform your user research and usability testing, but they educate you on best practices and how to use minute but powerful features within the platform.

I have some navigation issues when using UserTesting University. After finishing a course within a list, I'm not taken back to the list I was on and have to navigate back to the list I was on before starting the next course.

I've been out of practice with user research and while we're in the middle of our design cycle, it will be a valuable asset in determining where our baseline solutions sit. This will drive the direction for all future solutions and enhancements.

The way you can do clips, make comments, share them, download them and send them off.

I think the filtering options of the interview candidates shouldn't be limited to demographics. How interested they are in that industry should also be a topic of discussion.

We couldn't find appropriate candidates for user interviews, UserTesting has made this entirely possible.

UserTesting provides a wealth of insights about our clients and products. We were able to improve several services based on insights from UserTesting significantly

Once you launch your test, you get feedback in less than an hour (my target is not too narrow which also helps)

If I am watching a video and x out, when I go back to login to the platform to perform another task, it takes me back to the video and won't let me go to my dashboard

I would evaluate other platforms before deciding, UserTesting works for our company compared to others we have used.

We test new features on prototypes and get feedback before we fully create the new feature. BENEFIT: Create meaningful features that users like.

The observation feature seems to not work well, connection keeps breaking. that's why we use the zoom link for both researcher & observer
