UserTesting is an amazing platform with amazing customer support.

What do you like best about the product?

I've been using the platform for almost two years now and it's been an amazing tool and resource to have. The platform is intuitive, always improving, and best of all finds users relevant to our customer base very quickly.

What do you dislike about the product?

There is little I dislike about the platform but the cost is definitely a premium. Overall I feel we are getting our money's worth.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

UserTesting allows us to work directly with our users to validate UX and design concepts, test features, and understand our customers at a much deeper level.

Great way to earn extra cash!

What do you like best about the product?

I love that this is an easy income earned from home! Each test taken allows you to earn no less than $10. Sometimes you can make up to $60 depending upon whether the test involves a video chat with applicable personnel.

What do you dislike about the product?

Opportunities are only offered if you qualify based on their criteria and what you do for a living. Each user is directed to complete assessments to see if they qualify for a test. I feel as though individuals in IT or other high-demand areas have greater access to tests.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

User testing allows other companies to see how efficient and effective their websites are. We review how user-friendly each site is and give input as to what could be done better.

What do you like best about the product?

The best thing I like about Usertesting is that we just have to open its website on our computer and whenever any test comes it just makes a sound to let us know that we can take a test which is great. Also it pays the amount in our Paypal account in 7 days which makes it the best platform.

What do you dislike about the product?

- Many times we can not open our computer for the whole day just to wait for any test/ study to arrive, usertesting should also send emails to use whenever any test or study arrive which will save our time because then we don't have to checkthe dashboard of usertesting every few minutes.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Whenever we give a test/ study in usertesting we are eligible for a monetary reward which is later on credited to our bank account with help of PayPal. With Usertesing we help business to make their product or service better for their consumer.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope:

I do all the web design for my company myself, so I often second guess if the site is laid out well. Just because I think that it is clear doesn't always mean that it is, so user testing is important for me to get feedback.Here is my big problem with the software - it is prohibitively expensive for small businesses. They used to offer a one-off free test that would give me a rough idea of where to start, and then it was a more affordable pricing structure if you only wanted one or two tests. Now the only option is an expensive monthly payment, in the hundreds of dollars. To be fair, virtually all other companies are the same - but it is not affordable at all for smaller businesses.

Likelihood to Recommend:

Honestly, the functionality of this software is one of the best on the market. It does an incredible job of really dialing in on what you want to know and getting access to testers.

Perfect for Research and Design Thinking

Use Cases and Deployment Scope:

Userzoom had assisted me and my organization make informed design decisions with the help of real customer feedback instead of just getting the team opinions, for getting quick feedback from from potential customers in design phase to prove/disprove hypothesis. This helps to create a great customer experience and makes the process faster

Likelihood to Recommend:

Data visualization - you can run different types of years and analyse tools, charts, and reports in the dashboard after tests are completed. These features allow to answer various questions that typically stakeholders ask, effectively. When it comes to niche user groups, the panel is not that appropriate and hence Userzoom is less likely suited in such a scenario.

UserZoom, best friends with usability tests

Use Cases and Deployment Scope:

We use UserZoom for usability tests. It makes it easier to have an interviewer, observers, and notetakers at the same time, it allows them to easily speak to each in case they need to. We also really like the fact that you can flag on the spot, key moments that will be for sure useful for the next steps.

Likelihood to Recommend:

I think that if you need to do a usability test, and look at how users interact with certain platforms, this is the right tool to do with! It makes facilitating the interview so much easier as others can easily write in the chat suggestions and possible pain points they might face. Also very useful to be able to flag key moments during the session

UserTesting is both used for validating concept design ideas within a restricted qualitative user test panel or in a more extensive situation regarding launching specific POC or Concept software solutions where we need to investigate the validity and affordance of the vertical experience path of features included in the vision.

Likelihood to Recommend:

If you have a product concept for digital software (web/mobile/desktop) user testing is the best Platform for an initial user evaluation and to identify core features and relevant experience aspects to the users. For detail design and product definition and also A/B testing of multiple visual solutions for specific UX patterns are also one of the best tools in terms of simplicity and speed to structure continuous usability testing during design and development or agile product design & dev. It is also a great tool in validation software and portal content architecture and IA and in validating content strategy and user understanding.

Great insights, delivering great value at great speed

What do you like best about the product?

So you want insights and you want them fast, UserTesting can do that. If you want unmoderated and moderated options, UserTesting can do that too. If you want something that you can use alongside your existing tooling, guess what, UserTesting can do that. It's a one-stop shop in the best possible way. Is it cheap, not particularly; but you get what you pay for, and in this case you get quality.

What do you dislike about the product?

No matter how hard you try, occasionally you'll get a bad egg come through. Is that UserTesting's fault? No, but it's still frustrating! I suppose I could be that guy and say that I would like a dark mode, maybe there is one and I just haven't seen it?

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I've used UserTesting in three of the four companies I've worked with, and I've been using the tool since before the pandemic. During the lockdowns it came into it's own with the ability to connect to people anywhere and at any time. This has proved valuable even when we are able now to get out to places that were previously blocked off from us.

Love this tool for quick and valuable feedback

What do you like best about the product?

Usertesting allows us to get feedback about our website from real people, very quickly. You can screen the users to ensure they meet your criteria. Generally we get results back within an hour, it has never taken more than a day. I like that you can take notes directly in the videos, so that you can easily find your spot later on. You can also create highlight reels and share them with your team members.

What do you dislike about the product?

It would be nice if I could do all my analysis and notes in user testing's site. Right now I am able to create notes on the video, and share clips, but I'd love to have a space to easily record and share higher level insights. No, you don't get the subtle observations that you would in an in person usability test, but this tool lets you get quick feedback to build up to an eventual in person test that may be more valuable than if you hadn't done any online tests first.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Take the time to speak with their support and customer representatives, they are very helpful.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

With this tool we are able to get quick, valuable feedback on our website. We use this to make decisions and changes to our site with the goal of giving users what they really want.
