83% of AUS adults prefer traditional banks over digital-only

Customer-centric organizations feel confident that they understand their audience perfectly, but how many of our beliefs about our customers, users, and audiences are out-of-date?

This is a question we asked when commissioning a survey from OnePoll regarding banking trends for different Australian generations. This random double-opt-in survey of 1,000 AUS residents with bank accounts found out fascinating key learnings about Gen X, millenials, Gen Z, baby Boomers, and the silent generation.

Here were some of the findings:

  • 45% of Australians said they trust digital wallets and mobile banking apps
  • 35% of Australian respondents trust traditional banks more than digital banks
  • 31% of those who prefer traditional banks over digital like speaking with a human

This report is great for anyone interested to learn how the different AU generations actually feel about banking. Get the report for a more detailed look at the findings among the different generations.
