Deceptive patterns—also known as deceptive design patterns—are interfaces designed to subtly trick you into doing a task you otherwise normally wouldn’t do.

The spirit of digital personalization is to deliver an experience that speaks directly to each customer, meets them where they’re at, and offers something valuable that they want or need.
